About Mama Moth Creations

Hello! My name is Ashlyn and I am the creator of Mama Moth Creations. Mama Moth was created in early 2023, while I was still carrying my little baby moth, who was born in August 2023. I needed a place to share my art... which I still have so many things I want to create and share! My family has roots in Kodiak, AK. (Kanatak and Sun'aq tribes.) I started beading earlier this year and it has become more of a passion than a hobby. It's been a fun way to keep my mind busy while navigating motherhood. I love all things; insects, art, and reading; all of which you may see reflected in my work! I grew up on the Coeur d'Alene Reservation in North Idaho, went to school in Coeur d'Alene, and lived part time on the Confederated Salish and Kootenai Reservation in Western MT. I grew up always going to powwows and dancing both fancy and traditional. My family is also a mix of Norwegian, Scottish, Irish and Welsh... and probably some other things too...lol! I currently live in Coeur d'Alene, ID with my husband and son and work as a Marketing Specialist for the CDA tribe! Thank you for your support!
